Van Disabled naar Re-Abled: De Missie van de Bibian Mentel FoundationIedereen verdient gelijke kansen – ook mensen met een lichamelijke uitdaging. Dat was de droom van Bibian Mentel, meervoudig paralympisch snowboardkampioen en oprichter van de Bibian Mentel Foundation. Haar levensmotto? “Denk in mogelijkheden, niet in beperkingen.”De Bibian Mentel Foundation zet zich in om mensen met een fysieke beperking te helpen het maximale uit zichzelf te halen. Dit doen we door:Re-Abled programma’s: betere begeleiding en het beschikbaar stellen van protheses en ortheses.Sportieve activiteiten: zoals snowboardlessen via de Mentelity Snowboardschool en grensverleggende evenementen zoals de Mentelity Games en de 12 Hour Challenge.Mentelity Playground: speciale pumptracks waar kinderen en jongeren met een beperking veilig kunnen sporten.Door deze initiatieven laten we zien dat er veel meer mogelijk is dan men vaak denkt.
